Silk’n SensEpil is an IPL hair removal device for home use. The company labels the technology HPL (Pulsed Light for Home use), but the technology is essentially IPL under a different name.
The Silk’n SensEpil comes with a fairly large base unit in which the applicator is located. An applicator is a handheld device that contains light used to apply light to the skin surface. The device is suitable for larger treatment areas, but the cartridge has a service life of 1500 flashes, after which you need to replace it.
I’ve been using Silk’n SensEpil for a few months now and I’m very pleased with the results. The hair is missing from my bikini line. The hair on my legs keeps decreasing. It takes a while for all the hair to go through the growth cycle and onto the surface so you can treat it. I found something very important about the light bulb. It will eventually stop flashing. Don’t throw it away. Turn off the machine, let it cool for a few minutes, and then try again. If it still doesn’t work, wait about 30 minutes. I did so, flashing about 20 more times before it stopped working. I’ll wait and try again in a few minutes. Light bulbs are expensive, so be sure to use them up before throwing them away. Also, keep a record of how many times and the area so you have an idea of how the bulb should be spent. I may have thrown away some of the rest of the bulbs.
If you need it, you can try it!
